Vitabath
Nov 15
at the end of this crazy weekend, when all the bunting had been taken down, the sprinkles swept up from the back porch and the ball-pit dismantled moved inside, when the grandparents had gone back to the hotel, the left over candy had been distributed to friends to take to various offices on monday morning and the cupcakes had been securely wrapped in foil – i took out my kindle, poured myself a glass of wine, and ran a hot bath. and pumped in vitabath.
when i was a little red-headed girl, i often spent my friday nights at my nani and eddie’s house. in addition to chopped salad, raspberries and chocolate ice cream and silky pillows – my night also consisted of a hot bathtub filled with vitabath bubble bath.
a few weeks ago EBN and i were walking through SEARS (yes, that is an odd statement – it is part of a mall and we had parked near the SEARS entrance) and i was overcome by the familiar smell. there in the center of the store was a large display for vitabath and while i’m sure nani special ordered hers from one of her many catalogues, i couldn’t help stocking up on a few bottles of my very own.
